About us

About Candidly

Candidly is the embedded recruitment infrastructure layer inside HR platforms, workforce management systems, and job boards globally. Our partners embed Candidly into their product as their own branded hiring solution, and their customers use it to hire without leaving the platform they already know.

We’re a founder-led business at an inflection point. Our partners are seeing meaningful new business growth as a direct result of embedding Candidly, and we’re expanding into new geographies and verticals. We’re looking for an ambitious Sales Development Representative to help us identify, engage and win the next generation of Candidly partners.

Overview

The role

This is a high-impact outbound sales role focused on building Candidly’s partner pipeline. You’ll identify the HR platforms, workforce management systems, job boards and other technology businesses that should be embedding Candidly, find the right decision-makers within them, and create opportunities through thoughtful, highly targeted outreach.

This isn’t a high-volume SDR role built around sending thousands of generic emails. Our potential partners are valuable, strategic accounts, so we care about research, relevance and building relationships. You’ll work closely with our co-founders to understand each prospect, develop the right angle and take conversations from first contact through to qualified partnership opportunities.

As you develop, there will be the opportunity to own more of the sales cycle and progress opportunities through to signed partnerships.

Responsibilities

What you’ll do

Partner identification and prospecting

  • Identify high-potential partner accounts across HR tech, workforce management, job boards, vertical SaaS and adjacent markets globally
  • Research prospective partners to understand their product, customers, commercial model and where Candidly could create value
  • Identify and map the key decision-makers within target organisations, from CEOs and founders to CPOs, CROs and Heads of Partnerships
  • Build and maintain a high-quality pipeline of prospective partners across our priority markets and verticals
  • Spot new markets, platforms and partnership opportunities that could expand Candidly’s addressable market

Outreach and relationship building

  • Own outbound prospecting across email, LinkedIn, phone and other relevant channels
  • Create highly personalised outreach that clearly communicates why a Candidly partnership is commercially relevant to each prospect
  • Build relationships with senior stakeholders and turn cold accounts into active partnership conversations
  • Follow up intelligently and consistently across longer sales cycles, keeping Candidly front of mind until the timing is right
  • Experiment with messaging, sequences and outreach strategies to continually improve engagement and conversion

Pipeline and sales

  • Qualify opportunities based on partner fit, commercial potential, customer base and strategic value
  • Run initial discovery conversations to understand a prospect’s product, customers, priorities and recruitment proposition
  • Clearly articulate the commercial case for embedding Candidly — from creating new revenue streams to increasing product value and customer retention
  • Work closely with the founders to progress qualified opportunities through product demonstrations, commercial discussions and partnership negotiations
  • Take increasing ownership of opportunities as you develop, with the opportunity to progress partners from first conversation through to signed agreement
  • Maintain accurate pipeline data, next steps and forecasts within our CRM

Market insight

  • Develop a deep understanding of the HR technology, workforce management, job board and vertical SaaS landscape
  • Track competitor activity and identify platforms where recruitment functionality is missing, limited or could be significantly improved
  • Feed insights from prospective partners back into our product positioning, messaging and commercial strategy
  • Identify patterns in what makes partners engage, progress and ultimately sign

Requirements

What we’re looking for

  • 1–3 years in an SDR, BDR, business development or outbound sales role — ideally within B2B SaaS, HR tech or a platform business
  • Evidence that you can generate opportunities through outbound prospecting rather than relying solely on inbound leads
  • Excellent written communication and the ability to create outreach that feels researched, relevant and human
  • Confident speaking with senior decision-makers and comfortable picking up the phone
  • Naturally curious — you’ll want to understand how a prospect’s business works before trying to sell to them
  • Commercially minded and able to understand and communicate a business case, not simply product features
  • Persistent without being transactional — many of our best partnerships are built through relationships developed over time
  • Comfortable working with data, CRM systems and prospecting tools to prioritise the right accounts and opportunities
  • Self-directed and proactive — this is a small team, so you’ll need to find opportunities and make things happen without waiting for a playbook
  • Ambitious and motivated by progression — we want someone who can grow from generating opportunities into owning and closing strategic partnerships
  • Bonus points for experience selling into HR platforms, workforce management platforms, job boards, SaaS businesses or the recruitment industry

Benefits

What you’ll get

  • Competitive salary, uncapped commission and meaningful equity in a fast-growing business
  • The opportunity to sell strategic partnerships with some of the largest HR and workforce management platforms globally
  • A clear progression path from SDR into a full partnership sales role
  • Direct exposure to the entire sales cycle, from identifying an account through to negotiating and signing a partnership
  • Real seat at the table — you’ll work directly with the founders and help shape our outbound strategy as we scale
  • The freedom to test new markets, messaging and approaches rather than simply follow a predefined SDR playbook
  • Remote-first working with regular team days
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
