About us

About Candidly

Candidly is the embedded recruitment infrastructure layer inside HR platforms, workforce management systems, and job boards globally. Our partners embed Candidly into their product as their own branded hiring solution, and their customers use it to hire without leaving the platform they already know.

We’re a founder-led business at an inflection point. Our partners are seeing meaningful new business growth as a direct result of embedding Candidly, and we’re expanding into new geographies and verticals. As our partner base grows, so does the volume and complexity of what our partners and their customers need from our product.

We’re looking for a Product Manager to work closely with our CPO, partners and engineering team to turn those needs into great product experiences.

Overview

The role

This is a hands-on product role reporting directly into our CPO and sitting at the intersection of our partners, their customers and our engineering team.

You’ll spend a lot of time understanding what our partners and end customers need, digging beneath feature requests to identify the real problems to solve, and translating those insights into clear, well-defined product requirements.

Working with the CPO, you’ll help shape product priorities and turn our wider product strategy and roadmap into deliverable initiatives. Once something is prioritised, you’ll take ownership of driving it forward — from discovery and requirements through to development, launch and iteration.

You’ll also play an important role in bringing structure to the growing volume of partner and customer feedback we receive, helping us understand what is genuinely important, what is commercially valuable, and where we should focus our development resources.

Responsibilities

What you’ll do

Partner and customer discovery

  • Work directly with partners and their customers to understand their workflows, challenges and product needs
  • Run discovery sessions that get beneath feature requests and uncover the underlying problems customers are trying to solve
  • Capture and organise product feedback from partners, end customers and our commercial teams
  • Identify recurring themes and opportunities across our partner base rather than treating every request in isolation
  • Bring clear customer evidence and insight into product discussions with the CPO and engineering team
  • Become a strong internal voice for our partners and end customers

Product requirements and prioritisation

  • Turn customer and partner problems into clear, actionable product requirements
  • Write product specifications, user stories and acceptance criteria that give engineering clarity on what we’re solving and why
  • Work with the CPO to assess and prioritise opportunities based on customer impact, commercial value, strategic importance and engineering effort
  • Help maintain and manage the product backlog, ensuring priorities are clear and development-ready
  • Support roadmap planning by bringing together customer insight, usage data, commercial requirements and technical considerations
  • Identify where individual requests point to broader product opportunities that could benefit multiple partners

Product delivery

  • Take ownership of product initiatives once prioritised and drive them from discovery through to launch
  • Work closely with engineering throughout development, answering questions, resolving ambiguity and keeping delivery moving
  • Collaborate with engineering on solutions that solve the immediate customer problem while remaining scalable across our wider partner base
  • Ensure delivered functionality meets the original customer need and agreed product requirements
  • Coordinate launches with internal teams and ensure partners understand new functionality and how to use it
  • Keep stakeholders informed on progress, decisions and changes throughout the development process

Product performance and iteration

  • Work with the CPO to define what success looks like for new features and initiatives
  • Use product usage, adoption data and customer feedback to understand whether what we’ve built is delivering the intended outcome
  • Identify friction within the product experience and opportunities to improve it
  • Gather feedback following launches and translate learnings into future iterations
  • Combine quantitative data with qualitative customer insight to make informed product recommendations

Commercial and market insight

  • Work closely with our partnership and sales teams to understand what existing and prospective partners are asking for
  • Help assess product requirements that could unlock strategically important partners or commercial opportunities
  • Support partner conversations where deeper product knowledge or requirements discovery is needed
  • Develop a strong understanding of the HR technology, workforce management and recruitment technology landscape
  • Feed market and competitor insight into conversations with the CPO around future product priorities

Requirements

What we’re looking for

  • 2–5 years in a Product Manager, Product Owner or similar product role, ideally within B2B SaaS, HR tech, platform technology or another fast-growing technology business
  • Strong experience working directly with customers and turning their feedback into clear product requirements
  • Excellent discovery skills — you know how to get beyond what someone asks for and understand the problem they’re actually trying to solve
  • Experience managing a product backlog and working within a wider product roadmap
  • Comfortable balancing requests from customers, commercial teams and engineering and making clear prioritisation recommendations
  • Strong written skills and the ability to create clear product requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Comfortable working closely with engineers and able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Commercially minded — you understand that product decisions need to consider customer impact, scalability and commercial value
  • Comfortable working with data and using it alongside customer feedback to inform decisions
  • Highly organised and able to keep multiple product initiatives moving at the same time
  • Self-directed and proactive — this is a small team, so you’ll have real responsibility and will be expected to drive things forward
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and excited by the opportunity to help build better product processes as we scale
  • Bonus points for experience with HR platforms, workforce management platforms, job boards, recruitment technology or embedded/white-label SaaS products

Benefits

What you’ll get

  • Competitive salary and meaningful equity in a fast-growing business
  • The opportunity to work on technology embedded within major HR and workforce management platforms globally
  • Direct exposure to partners and end customers, giving you a genuine connection between the problems you discover and the products you help build
  • Close mentorship and collaboration with our CPO, with the opportunity to take increasing ownership of areas of the product as you develop
  • Significant responsibility across the full product lifecycle, from discovery through to launch and iteration
  • Real influence over how our product processes and ways of working develop as Candidly scales
  • Remote-first working with regular team days
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
